Join us as our ancestors once did on this very land, around the hearth at this halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, as we craft Medicine rattles with local deer raw hide and ‘seasonal’ sticks.
All materials, herbal brews and wholesome snacks provided. Bring feathers and anything else that you may wish to decorate your rattle with. Please be there by 11am to open the creative space together. During the day Claire shall offer ways to work with the rattle for medicine and fun! There may be some additional finishing of the rattle at home. “I finished my rattle and feel very blessed to have been on the rattle making journey and worked with you using deer hide for the first time. I love that it’s so personal to me and conjures up memories connecting me to the land , ancestors and herbs. I put some saved sweet pea seeds inside and it gives a lovely tone, with a bit of mugwort for protection. And added a couple of runes signifying balance and clarity as well as relationships and growth , all intentions.” This event is promoted by Bearnumber9 and West Suffolk Heritage.
