Meet the Grey Lady of Bury St Edmunds, who will enchant you with mysterious Halloween tales by the fireplace.

The Grey Lady is waiting for you by the fireside! Join in on a story hunt around the ancient walls and eerie paintings of the Guildhall Banqueting Hall. The clues you discover will help create a brand-new story that’s never been heard before.

Local storyteller Lynn Whitehead, embodying the legendary Grey Lady, has captivated audiences in Bury St Edmunds for years, delighting both adults and children. As an experienced performer and teacher, she is one of the town’s registered tour guides. You may have seen her in schools or at West Stow, dressed in full Anglo-Saxon attire, helping Spinning Wheel Theatre bring stories of the past to life. Don't miss this thrilling experience!

All children must be accompanied by an adult, maximum 1 adult per child.

Opening times: Office opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm. The venue is open to the public during scheduled events only, which will be advertised on our website.
