Conductor Leslie Olive introduces star players Julian and Richard Milone – Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra’s brothers in music

Enjoy the playing, the humour, and a taste of the life stories of two of Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra’s top professional violinists – who happen to be brothers.

Find out what it’s like to grow up with another outstanding musician as your younger – or older – sibling. Does it make you more competitive? Do you learn from each other? Or do you scrap?

Julian Milone, the SPO’s Resident Leader who helped create Suffolk Philharmonic, is a member of London’s celebrated Philharmonia Orchestra.

Richard Milone, whom you may have heard playing The Lark Ascending in “The Lark’s Flight over Suffolk” plays with the Orchestra of St John’s Smith Square and leads for Glyndebourne Touring Opera.

Meet them both and hear them play in the warm, comfortable, welcoming surroundings of The Edmund Room at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
