Newmarket’s Food and Drink Taster Tour

Join us on a guided walk as we explore some of the wonderful history and tastes of Newmarket.

Learn about the famous Newmarket sausages, how the town got its own gin and all about the historic Newmarket cake – including of course, tastings!

This themed, guided walking tour will showcase some of the town’s fascinating history and reveal how a relatively small town became known as the international headquarters of horseracing. Learn all about the famed Newmarket sausage and how it became a favourite of the Royal household. Find out how the town came to have its own award winning gin and learn the origins of the town’s very own cake. After several tastings, your tour concludes at Nancy’s Tea Shop where you will also receive a £5 voucher towards lunch.
