The Bury Friendly Orchestra present an exciting programme of music to conclude their 2019-2020 season.

They are delighted to collaborate again with Thetford Singers in a performance of John Rutter's 'Feel the Spirit' - a wonderfully jazzy and tuneful selection of seven famous spirituals arranged for full orchestra and choir.

The second half will pay homage to the BBC Last Night of the Proms and will include many of the famous pieces heard at the Royal Albert Hall for this famous concert.

In a modern day twist the orchestra will premiere a medley 'A Celebration of British Music', arranged by David Sims, which will feature some of the most well-known artists in British popular music from the 60's to the present day!

Programme:
Feel the Spirit - Rutter
Interval
Swan Lake - Lake in the moonlight - Tchaikovsky
Pomp and Circumstance March in G Major - Edward Elgar
A Celebration of British Music - David Sims
Sailors Hornpipe - arr. Lawrence Yates
