We're very excited to announce the full line-up for the BurySOUND Music Competition 2020. As in previous years, BurySOUND will take place during February and March, with five heats (held at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill Arts Centre), and a Grand Final at Bury's megavenue The Apex.
Each date will feature five competing artists, and one special guest headliner. The Grand Final will be headlined by last year's winner Gabby Rivers
, who has since gone on to receive support from BBC Introducing and headline a stage at Latitude Festival.
BurySOUND was founded in 1998 by the council's youth champion Jackie Smith
and local promoter Paul Johnson
, who wanted to provide opportunities for local artists seeking to write and perform their own material, in the hope that it would help to kickstart a scene in the West Suffolk area. 16 bands entered that first competition; this year we had 74 applications from artists based all around East Anglia, proving once again that our region's local music scene is incredibly strong, vibrant and diverse.
This heat is hosted at The Hunter Club, 6 St Andrew's Street South, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3PH.
HEAT 2 features:
Kill The Crow
With guest headliner: A.N.G
Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
