Illustrated Talk - Embroidery at War and Peace

Bury St Edmunds Guildhall invites you to an illustrated talk to accompany the Homecoming Hearts Exhibition by Helen M. Stevens.

Following the talk, Helen will be happy to accompany attendees for a personal interpretation of the Homecoming Hearts Exhibition.

Embroidery is often considered a 'peaceful' past-time but it has played its part in many bloody conflicts over the centuries. In this eye-opening talk, Helen will be putting this 'gentle art' into a wholly new light.

Any surplus proceeds from this event will be used to support the newly renovated Guildhall, a not-for-profit charity.
