Exhibition of the work of popular illustrator Tim Godden plus tours of the Great War Huts site.
Great War huts at Brook Farm Camp will be a ground breaking First World War museum and visitor centre. The original plan would have seen eleven replica wooden barrack huts built to provide a lecture theatre, exhibition and display space to tell the story of the First World War in a fresh way. However the discovery of an original Recreation Hut in Ipswich due to be demolished changed everything. The eleven huts will now be original buildings constructed over a century ago to house servicemen and women who served in the war. Please wear suitable footwear/clothing. Dates: Sunday 15 September & Wednesday 18 September Times: 11am & 2pm Tickets: This event is free as it is part of Heritage Open Days! Booking: Essential - click here to book Venue: Great War Huts, Brook Farm, Hawstead, IP29 5NW This event is a Heritage Open Days 2019 event promoted by Great War Huts.
