Talking about poetry in Lavenham Village Hall with Rebecca Goss and Pauline Stainer.

Poets Pauline Stainer and Rebecca Goss have long-standing connections with Suffolk and met when they both lived in the town of Hadleigh.

Pauline was selected as one of the first Next Generation Poets by the Poetry Book Society in 1994, and Rebecca was selected for the Third Generation in 2014. They will lead an interactive session about writing poetry and will talk about and read from their latest collections.

Rebecca Goss' book 'Her Birth' was shortlisted for The Forward Prize for Best Collection, The Warwick Prize for Writing and The Portico Prize for Literature. Her latest collection is called 'Carousel'.

Pauline Stainer: Four of her books have been Poetry Society Recommendations and her collection 'The Wound-dresser’s Dream' was shortlisted for the Whitbread Poetry Award in 1996. Her latest collection is called 'Sleeping Under the Juniper Tree'.

Please note that this event will be held in the upper room, access to which is by staircase only.
