Acrylics for Beginners – Full Day Course

Spend a relaxed and creative day with artist Rosey Hancock discovering the wonderful world of acrylic painting!

Designed especially for beginners, we’ll start with the basics and gradually build your confidence throughout the day.

We’ll also get a little more adventurous with texture and acrylic mediums, experimenting interesting effects.

You’ll create a selection of small practice pieces as we explore each technique, before bringing your own finished acrylic painting on canvas.

No previous painting experience is needed. Everything will be demonstrated step-by-step in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Throughout the day we’ll work through a range of practical exercises covering:

• Acrylic paint basics
• Brush techniques and mark making
• Colour mixing
• Blending and layering
• Light, shade and creating depth
• Texture and palette knife techniques
• Acrylic mediums and what they do
• Simple composition
• Correcting mistakes
• Creating a finished painting on canvas

All materials are included - just bring your lunch with you and get ready to get creative!
