Minden Day 2026

The Royal Anglian Regiment is excited to announce that its annual Minden Day celebrations will be taking place once again on Saturday 1 August, with a family event hosted outside the Regimental Headquarters at The Keep on Newmarket Road, Bury St Edmunds.

Old comrades and the local Bury St Edmunds community alike are invited to attend what promises to be an enjoyable day out, with a military march past, historic vehicles, a bouncy castle, face painting and more. Free to attend, the event will start with a special service at 11am and run until 4pm when there will be a Flag Lowering ceremony, concluding with a disco from 4.30pm–10pm.

The Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Regiments’ Museum will also be open between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The event is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is in the West Suffolk College car park (accessible from Western Way and Beetons Way).

Times: 9.30am-10pm
Tickets: Free admission, but donations to the museum are welcome
Booking: Not required
