Janet Suzman, one of the country’s foremost performers and an acclaimed Shakespearean actor will take you through the original text to find out if the enduring female icon could possibly have been played by a boy. Dame Janet Suzman is renowned for her portrayal of Shakespearean heroines particularly her memorable Cleopatra in Anthony and Cleopatra.
As a director in South Africa, her birth country, she opened the famous Market Theatre and directed John Kani in Othello which was filmed for Channel Four.
She has numerous awards for her work as an actor, director and writing as well as the Freedom of the City of London and she is a lifelong fellow of the Shakespeare Association of G.B.
