Lavenham Literary Festival - Milly Ellis

For anyone who has seen Michael Gambon act, this will be a real treat. Whether a fan of The Singing Detective or of Harry Potter this unique talent brought enjoyed to generations.

Milly Ellis worked closely with Gambon for over 20 years seeing his outstanding performances and witnessing the outlandish stories told both by himself and his friends such as Daniel Craig, Robert de Niro and Dame Judi Dench. Towards the end of his career Gambon found it increasingly difficult to remember his lines and Milly worked as his ‘earwig’ giving him his lines through an earpiece.

A specialist voice coach Milly has worked alongside some of Britain's finest actors, as well as coaching business leaders. She has also collaborated on projects with John Malkovich, Nicholas Cage, Miranda Richardson, the Royal Ballet and Sadler's Wells, directing several documentaries for C4 and the BBC.

This venue has steep stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
