In the Village Hall Lavenham, Thomas Harding reveals the forgotten Nazi crime of World War Two in The Einstein Vendetta.
Hitler, Mussolini and murder, a disturbing and true story of how at the end of the Second World War, the Nazis sought out members of Albert Einstein’s family.
In a compelling narrative, Harding recounts how Robert Einstein, first cousin to Albert was hiding in the woods in Italy awaiting the Allies advance. German soldiers arrive at this family home and soon, his wife and two daughters are murdered. From this brutal murder Harding details not only the contemporary effects on those involved but the reasons behind the killings and the family’s long search for justice.
Thomas Harding is renowned for bringing largely lost histories to life. His books The House on the Lake and Rudolf and Hoss were both short listed for the Costa Biography Award and his latest book is sure to win similar plaudits.
