Discover the dark side of the Swinging Sixties at the Bury St Edmunds Guildhall.


Join Historian Paul Hunt as he explores the crimes and scandals of the 60's. From the Kray twins and the Ricardson gang, who ruled the London underworld, to the scandalous Profumo affair and the sex spies that rocked the British government discover the dark side of this groovy decade. Delve into The Great Train Robbery of 1963, the UK's most infamous train heist and discover how crime shaped the era.

Packed with gripping stories, genuine artifacts and autographs from the famous and infamous people who took part, this talk is a must see for those who lived through the 1960's and those eager to learn about one of Britain's most dramatic decades!

Our World War Two ROC Operations Room will also be open for you to explore on the day between 11am - 3pm. Admission to the Ops Room is free.

Office opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm. The venue is open to the public during scheduled events only, which will be advertised on the Bury St Edmunds Guildhall website.
