Join us for a full day of child-led adventure at our beautiful woodland base, where imagination roams wild and curiosity leads the way!
This session is open to children aged 4–9 and offers a safe, engaging, and nature-rich experience, no matter the weather!
Our Forest School ethos centres on exploration, creativity, and connection to the natural world. Throughout the day, children will have the opportunity to; use tools safely under guidance; engage in nature-based crafts and challenges; explore the woods through play and discovery and connect with others and build confidence in the outdoors.
🥕 Food:
A warm, nourishing lunch will be cooked over the campfire (weather permitting) and healthy snacks will be provided. We cater for all dietary needs, just let us know upon booking. If your child has specific preferences, you're welcome to pack a lunch instead.
👩🏫 Meet the Team:
This session is led by Layla, owner of Nature Experience Company, a Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader, fully DBS checked and an experienced Outdoor First Aider. She is joined by Jess, who holds a Level 2 Forest School qualification, is fully DBS checked, and has supported many of our Forest School adventures.
✨ Whether your child is a seasoned explorer or new to the woods, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn through nature, spark imagination, and make meaningful memories!

🧭Attendee Information
To help your child get the most out of their Explorers Day, please read the following guidance carefully.
🧥Clothing & Footwear
Our sessions run in all weathers (except extreme conditions), so dressing appropriately is key for comfort and safety. Weather-appropriate layers – including waterproofs if rain is forecast. Trousers are recommended, even in warm weather (lightweight ones are fine), to help protect legs from scratches or stings. Long sleeves are preferred for the same reason. Walking boots or sturdy trainers are ideal – no open-toe shoes or sandals, please.
🎒What to Pack
Spare clothes, including socks and underwear – just in case your child gets wet or muddy! Full water bottle – hydration is important even on cooler days. Any specific food your child might want, though morning snack and lunch are provided. We aim to cook lunch over the fire (weather permitting) and cater to all dietary needs – please let us know any specifics when booking. If your child is particular with meals, feel free to send a packed lunch.
💊Medication
Please hand any medication (inhalers, EpiPens, etc.) to Layla upon arrival, where it will be stored securely and administered if needed. If your child brings a mobile phone, we kindly ask that this is also handed to Layla at the start of the day, where it will be stored safely until collection. We want every child to be fully present and enjoy their time in nature without digital distractions.
