Join a special family friendly closing celebration to mark the end of the Brecks Outdoor Festival 2025!
Local community steel band, Panache, will perform live in the scenic outdoor setting of the Orchard, at this fun and upbeat community celebration.
The event forms part of Brandon’s annual tradition of marking the historic ‘Beating the Bounds’. ‘Beating the Bounds’ relates to the practice of beating local landmarks with branches to remind local people of parish boundaries. People would carry slender willow branches and swat landmarks that separated the parishes. As they walked, they sang songs, carried flags, told stories, and created memories, gathering on the village green at the end of the walk for a celebration.
In the spirit of keeping this tradition alive, this live performance is welcome to all.
Picnics are encouraged, and light refreshments will be available for cash purchase. If you would like to fully embrace the tradition, you can join a guided walk of Brandon’s historic
Nine Stiles trail, starting at 12:30pm and ending at the Orchard in time for the closing celebration.
