20th Anniversary of the Millennium Tower!
To mark the 20th anniversary of the completion of St Edmundsbury Cathedral’s Millennium Tower, we are offering a series of Tower 'climbs' (202 steps) - to give you the chance to enjoy views over Bury St Edmunds. These 45-minute tours are led by knowledgeable guides who have lots of facts about the building of the Tower.

Access will not be permitted to:
- Any children under the age of 10 (children aged 10-17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)
- Adults aged 80+ (stipulated by our insurers)
- Anyone believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Those who are nervous of heights and suffer from vertigo and/or claustrophobia. The tour includes spiral staircases and narrow passageways.
- Those who are pregnant, suffer from heart disorders, or any medical condition or disability which might affect their own safety or the safety of others.
Health and Safety Issues:
- Stairways are steep and narrow.
- A reasonable level of fitness is required to tackle the 202 steps to the top.
- The walkways may be slippery.
- No high heels, bare feet or flip flops. Any sandals must be securely fastened. No long skirts due to the trip hazard they present.
- All bags must be left at ground level, a secure locked location will be provided for bags during the tour.
- Decisions and instructions of the Cathedral Tower Guides are final and must be followed without question at all times.
