Bury St Edmunds Guildhall is the home to the only surviving WWII Operations Room of the Royal Observer Corps in the country where you can explore how local heroes worked tirelessly tracking aircraft across the Suffolk skies. The date coincides with 77th anniversary of Victory Over Japan, the official end of World War Two. Discover the hidden history of England’s oldest civic building. Take in the beauty and wander round the traditional English flower and sensory walled gardens planted and maintained entirely by volunteers.
