Illustrating the Great War

Illustrating the Great War

Booking information

Event details

Exhibition of the work of popular illustrator Tim Godden.

Great War huts at Brook Farm Camp will be a ground breaking First World War museum and visitor centre.

The original plan would have seen eleven replica wooden barrack huts built to provide a lecture theatre, exhibition and display space to tell the story of the First World War in a fresh way.

However the discovery of an original Recreation Hut in Ipswich due to be demolished changed everything. The eleven huts will now be original buildings constructed over a century ago to house servicemen and women who served in the war.

Please note: On Sunday 15 September and Wednesday 18 September, a talk and tour of The Great War Huts will be available. Spaces for this must be booked in advance by clicking here.

Dates: Saturday 14 September - Sunday 22 September
Times: 10am-4pm
