Pario Gallico and Beynon the Blacksmith travel to West Stow
Come and watch the blacksmith transform iron into various objects on the forge - you might even get a chance to help him pump the bellows! Discover what Anglo-Saxon villagers were eating, far from the bland gruel or porridge usual idea. The lady of the house will give tips and tricks on how to light and maintain a good fire, how to cook in pots and cauldrons over it, how to wash up the Anglo-Saxon way and share her own recipes so you can recreate them at home! Dates: Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 August Times: 10am-5pm (last entry 4pm) Tickets: Standard admission charges apply - Adult £6, Child £3, Concessions £4, Family (Up to 5 family members including at least one adult and one paying child) £16 Booking: Not required Venue: West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village This event is promoted by the Heritage Service.
