The Lark - celebrating 1000 years bringing life-giving fresh water to all Of West Suffolk down the centuries.


Four centuries of music on rivers and water.

The concert will cover many musical styles from 1500s to more recent times including two of Suffolk’s greatest composers.

International theorbo soloist Lynda Sayce (the instrument of choice in the 1500s-1600s (just returned from world-wide tour with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra)

Pianist- Rising star Mark Rogers Prize-winner at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Suffolk Solo Singers. Seven solo singers will perform a wide selection of songs.

The Lark FLAGSHIP - One of 12 English chalk streams chosen to pioneer a unique national plan for chalk stream restoration.

Net proceeds will go to the River Lark Catchment Partnership, a community-based Partnership working with stakeholders to improve the Lark and its water catchment.
